Here at Cobblestone Freeway Tours, the health and happiness of our guests is always our main concern.  We are going above & beyond what is necessary to make sure our guests, staff, and the people we connect with are always safe and healthy.  We understand, that as the world begins to open up for travel, you need to feel comfortable to be able to travel with us again.

That’s why we have introduced The Cobblestone Commitment Policy, implementing new standards and protocols supplementing local government guidelines, to make sure you feel safe and supported when travelling again.

We ask all guests to only travel with us if they feel healthy enough to do so.

Before travelling, we do recommend you check your government’s travel advisory and the World Health Organization website for the most up to date information about destinations and permitted travel from each country.

On your travels

Boarding passes please

When flying to your destination country, there are a couple of things you may need to consider!

  • You may have your temperature screened in your departure airport, and in your arrival airport. We will advise you on the local guidelines for the country you are travelling to.
  • Many Airlines are now requiring face covering on board their aircraft. We recommend that clients bring their own face coverings.

If a guest develops a fever, or any other symptoms while on tour, your Tour Leader will find local clinics, to get access to medical care and support. They may be required to have a doctor clear them before rejoining us.

On the road

We have redefined the seating capacity in our tour vehicles – we are purposefully using bigger vehicles on all our tours to give you extra space to distance if you wish.

Each traveller will have a daily assigned seat.

Vehicles will be sanitized daily while on tour; disinfectant and hand sanitizer will also be provided on board. Masks/face coverings will be recommended while on-board.

We will check all our drivers are healthy before going on tour, and drivers will undergo COVID testing and thermal screening before every new tour, and our drivers will wear masks while in the vehicle.

A good night’s sleep

We always ensure our hotels are high quality, centrally located, and support small local businesses where we can. Travelling in small groups means we can stay in smaller hotels, with limited interaction with other hotel guests.

We are also checking that all our hotels abide by all standards of cleanliness and sanitization according to local government guidelines, so you can sleep soundly in the knowledge that we are keeping you safe.

Although local government policies may vary by destination, here are some of the protocols we’re working on to keep you safe:

RUDOLFO_HOTEL_LVIV
  • Hotels will implement social distancing protocols in line with local guidelines.
  • Increased of cleaning and disinfecting of all public restrooms and all surfaces in public areas.
  • Hotel staff are to follow a strict follow cleanliness guidelines according to the local government’s instructions, and wear masks where appropriate.
  • Check-in and check-out process to be worked out in advance with the property, to ensure minimum crowding in the lobby.
  • We recommend you wear your mask in the public areas of the hotel, including lifts/elevators, the lobby etc.
  • Rooms are fully disinfected after each Guest. Cleaning during your stay will be as per the hotel’s policy.
  • Hotel Restaurants/bars  will provide an amended service, however this will differ between hotels. Ask your Tour Leader for policies at your hotels once you begin your tour.
  • Breakfast serving differs from hotel to hotel, but to minimize contact they usually offer one of the following options:

    1. Instead of breakfasts served buffet style, hotels may shift to individually prepackaged items (continental breakfasts);

    2. Buffet-style breakfasts served by the waiters/waitresses to minimize utensil contact; lunch and dinners are served ‘A la carte’

    3. Breakfasts served in the guest’s room by request.

Our scheduled tours work on a shared room basis, so if you are travelling solo, enjoy your own room with the addition of our single supplement.

Sightseeing and Tours

While you’re out and about, we want you to be able to soak up as much as you can from your destination, but from a safe distance, and, where possible during non-peak hours.

All tours will be carried out privately, with only the tour cohort, and our carefully chosen local guides, who will maintain a safe distance during tours. We recommend guests wear a mask while on tours, and carry hand sanitizer.

Visits to indoor attractions – museums/cultural institutions etc. will be held according to local guidelines. These will include limits the number of visitors and distancing measures. Where possible, we will arrange for a private tour for the cohort.

Cobblestone Experiences

Our Cobblestone Exclusive Experiences are a big apart of who we are, and a big highlight of our tours. They allow you to really see into the places we visit and interact with local people.

You’ll still be able to take part in these experiences, but we’ll put measures in place to ensure that locals and guides not in the cohort maintain a healthy distance from guests, during activities and experiences. You’ll be able to witness the rich traditions and cultures of the countries we visit, from a distance.

Eat well

Food is a central part of our cultural journeys, so we carefully choose each restaurant to ensure you get a variety of delicious local eats and great service, but also we will ensure they are following local Government guidelines for guest safety – including cleanliness, distancing, staff training and food preparation.

Wherever possible, we will reserve separate tables or private rooms at the restaurants. Regardless, you will only be dining with people in your cohort, with other tables suitably distanced.
