Itinerary
Day
1
Welcome to Curitiba, the capital of Paraná and one of Brazil’s most modern and
environmentally friendly cities. Upon arrival at the airport, meet your English-speaking
guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in and some time to rest after your flight.
In the evening, gather for a welcome dinner at the hotel where you will meet your fellow
travelers and receive an introduction to the fascinating Ukrainian-Brazilian culture you will
experience throughout the tour.

2
Today we explore the rich Ukrainian heritage of Curitiba, home to one of the largest
Ukrainian communities in Brazil. Visit several Ukrainian churches and cultural
organizations that have preserved language, traditions, and faith for generations.
A highlight of the day will be a visit to the Ukrainian Museum at SUBRAS, one of the oldest
Ukrainian organizations in Brazil, where exhibits tell the story of early immigrants and their
cultural legacy.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Curitiba, a city internationally known for its
innovative urban planning, beautiful parks, and cultural diversity.
Visit the Ukrainian Memorial, a tribute to Ukrainian settlers featuring a traditional wooden
church and cultural exhibits. Continue to the impressive Wire Opera House, a unique
theater built of steel and glass and surrounded by lush greenery.
We will also see the Civic Center, the heart of the city’s government district, and the famous
Botanical Garden, one of Curitiba’s most recognizable landmarks.

4
Today we experience one of the most scenic journeys in Brazil with a train ride through the
Serra do Mar mountains. The railway winds through lush Atlantic rainforest, deep valleys,
and dramatic mountain landscapes before arriving in the historic colonial town of Morretes.
After exploring the charming town and enjoying lunch, we continue toward the coast to visit
Guaratuba Beach, where you will experience the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean and Brazil’s
tropical coastline.
In the evening we return to Curitiba for dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast we check out and travel by bus toward Prudentópolis, often called the
“Ukrainian Capital of Brazil.”
Along the way we stop at Vila Velha State Park, famous for its unique sandstone rock
formations shaped by wind and rain over thousands of years.
Continuing our journey through the countryside of Paraná, we arrive in Prudentópolis and
check into our hotel. In the evening enjoy a warm welcome dinner with members of the local
Ukrainian community, offering a wonderful introduction to the traditions preserved here for
over a century.

6
Today we explore Prudentópolis, a town where Ukrainian culture is deeply rooted in
everyday life. Visit local museums and historic churches that reflect the strong cultural
identity of the Ukrainian-Brazilian population.
Throughout the day you will learn about the immigration history, traditions, and community
life that have made this region a unique cultural center for Ukrainians in South America.
Meals during the day will offer opportunities to interact with local residents and experience
authentic regional hospitality.

7
This day is dedicated to deeper cultural connections. Attend church services and experience
religious traditions that have been maintained by the Ukrainian community for generations.
Enjoy lunch together with members of the community and learn more about local customs,
food, and daily life.
In the evening gather for a special farewell dinner, celebrating our time in Prudentópolis
and the friendships formed with the local Ukrainian-Brazilian community.

After breakfast we depart for Iguassu Falls, traveling through the beautiful landscapes of
southern Brazil. The journey takes us across fertile farmland and subtropical forests toward
one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world.
Upon arrival in Foz do Iguaçu, check into the hotel and enjoy some time to relax before
dinner.

Today we visit the breathtaking Iguassu Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the
largest waterfall systems on Earth. Hundreds of waterfalls stretch across the border
between Brazil and Argentina, creating a dramatic and unforgettable natural spectacle.
Walk along scenic viewing platforms that offer incredible panoramic views of the falls and
feel the mist rising from the powerful cascades.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a nearby restaurant, and in the evening we attend a lively Latin
American folk show accompanied by dinner.

10
After breakfast visit the famous Bird Park, located near Iguassu National Park. Here you will
see a remarkable collection of tropical birds, including colorful toucans, parrots, and macaws
in naturalistic habitats.
Later we visit Marco das Três Fronteiras, the symbolic meeting point of Brazil, Argentina,
and Paraguay, where the Iguassu and Paraná Rivers converge.
Enjoy the beautiful views and cultural presentations before returning to the hotel for dinner.

11
Today we fly to Rio de Janeiro, one of the most famous cities in the world. After arrival and
hotel check-in, we begin exploring this vibrant destination known for its dramatic scenery,
lively culture, and iconic landmarks.
During the afternoon tour we visit Christ the Redeemer, the towering statue overlooking the
city from Corcovado Mountain, and the famous Sugarloaf Mountain, which offers spectacular
panoramic views of Rio’s coastline and skyline.
Dinner will be enjoyed in the evening.

12
Enjoy a free day in Rio de Janeiro to explore the city at your own pace. Relax along the famous
beaches of Copacabana or Ipanema, stroll through colorful neighborhoods, or visit museums,
markets, and cafés.
In the evening we gather for a final dinner together, celebrating the unforgettable experiences
of our Brazilian journey.

After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight home.
As our journey comes to an end, we say farewell to Brazil and thank you for traveling with
Cobblestone Freeway.
